FamilySearch Error

On November 26, 1826, Christian Friederich Bleeke, No. 1[3] in Leeteln, married the daughter of the late Jobst Heinrich Krückeberg, # 10 Bärenbusch. Her name in the marriage record is given as Luise Eleonore Krückeberg, and her age is given as 30 years. But Jobst Heinrich did not have a daughter who would have been 30 years old in 1826. No births of Krückeberg children are recorded between 1795 and 1797 in the Petzen church register for the years 1784-1827.

Jobst Heinrich Krückeberg (1806-1879) had four children. His death and burial record of Oct. 1822 states that his survivors were: "a widow and four children, namely three daughters and one son". The birth record of his last child and first son, Johann Heinrich, states that he is the "fourth child and the first son". The four children documented children of Jobst Heinrich according to the Petzen church records are:

The age of 30 years old is incorrect, if the bride was a daughter of Jobst Heinrich. Furthermore, her name in the Frille Kirchenbuchduplikat, the duplicate churvch register that was required to be kept in Westfalen, has a name that differs from the baptism and confirmation records of Jobst Heinrich’s children. Philippine Carolina Christine Krückeberg married in 1812 and again in 1834. The only candidate whose name and age are closest to the Frille marriage record is Anne Christina Eleonore, born 14 February 1798. She would have been 28 years, 10 months, and 12 days old on the date of her marriage.
