Krückeberg Ancestry
There are three documents that tell us the place of origin of the Krückebergs who settled in Adams County, Indiana, in 1849 and 1850: the Family Record of the Emigrant Carl Friedrich Krückeberg, the Johann Heinrich Krückeberg Biography and the Johann Heinrich Krückeberg Biography. All three give Berenbusch (which they spell in various ways) in the principality of Schaumburg-Lippe as that place.
Johann Heinrich Krückeberg was the brother-in-law of another Immanuel Lutheran founder, Heinrich Wilhelm Weiland. Both of their families traveled together to the U.S. aboard the same ship. As the Heinrich Wilhelm Weÿland Biography tells us, he was from Evesen, which was located just south of Berenbusch.
The closest Lutheran parish to Berenbusch and Evesen was Petzen, which is mentioned in all ??? four/three documents.
