Designation Actorum

The first column represents a procedural unit /docket item (Actenpunkt). Each Actenpunkt corresponds to one administrative step in the handling of the matter., and that step may generate one document or several (petition → report → resolution → rescript, etc.).

Note: The column “Z.” denotes the sequential registry number within the stated month, not the day of the month.

Carifications
  • #3--The "Acten Designation (right)" column has "gegen" (in "gegen Verpfändung seiner sämmtlichen Ländereien"). "gegen" typically means "agasint"; here it menas "on condition of". The Rentcammer was willing to consider a loan but only against the pledge of his entire holding. The Chamber’s willingness to approve a loan was conditional upon his pledging all of his landholdings as collateral.

  • #7--aus in Cpt. K. Res. aus Amt Bückeburg is incorrect. The actual document has an not aus: Concept an das Amt Bückeburg, bears no pr. in Cam. (incoming-presented) mark, and carries the Kammer closing Fürstl: p.. aus is retained in the transliteration for accuracy, but rendered as to the Amt Bückeburg in the English translation, noting the likely clerical slip.

  • #10--is not a memo; it’s the Obligation (the sealed promissory note itself). Originals of promissory notes were often kept in a separate “obligations” series and, after repayment, returned to the debtor—so they commonly don’t carry the file’s boxed corner number and may not be physically in the case file anymore. That’s why #10 has no boxed number in the case file.
