Actenstück 2 (Administrative File Item 2): Report from the Bückeburg Office (7 Aug. 1842)

Report from the Bückeburg Office

This is a report written by the Amt Bückeburg (with Amt Arensburg referenced, as usual in joint reporting) to the Rentkammer on 7 August 1824. It is responding to an earlier order from the Rentkammer dated 4 and 7 August 1824.

The report states that the widow Krückeberg, who holds Stätte (homestead) No. 10 in Berenbusch, still possesses the piece of land “before the Söhre” — land that her late husband had purchased from the Fürstliche Kammer for 8 Groschen Rthlr. (8/Carolins / 8 Reichsthaler Carolins, depending on notation).

The Amts note that she still owns this land, though she has leased out part of it to someone else.

The report is signed Sander at Bückeburg on 7 August 1824.

re:
Farmstead No. 10 in
Bärenbusch.

In response to the Most Gracious official reply of the 4th and of the
present month’s 7th, we most humbly report that the widow Krückeberg,
tenant of the referenced holding, still possesses the parcel of land
near the Söhren which her late husband purchased from the Princely
Chamber for 800 rixthalers. A portion of it she has leased out.
Bückeburg, 7 August 1824.

  • 8/C = "8 x 100" → 800. 8/C was shorthand for 800.
