Petition of Colon Krückeberg for Permission to Sell His Farmstead (8 August 1849)
Narrative Summary
This document is a petition submitted by Colon Krückeberg of Stätte No. 10 in Berenbusch to the Princely Rentkammer. In it, Krückeberg states that he has agreed on a sale price for his holding with the buyer, the Einlieger Bornemann of Nordholz, and that the sale has already been reported to the Amt. Because he plans to emigrate to America on September 15th, and still needs time to sell his remaining household property and settle required dues, he urgently requests that the Rentkammer issue its formal approval for the sale as quickly as possible. The petition is dated 8 August 1849. A note added by Barkhausen on 13 August instructs that the matter be forwarded to the Amt Bückeburg for report and that a 12 Pfennig stamp fee be collected and remitted.

Untertänigst bitte ich also.

NC 4731. Registered 8 August 1849. Registry No. 1313. Presented to the Amt on 15 August 1849. Stamp fee: 3 Groschen. A most humble petition to the High Princely Rent Chamber. I have decided to sell my holding and to emigrate to America, and I am in agreement with the buyer, the cottager Bornemann from Nordholz, regarding the purchase price, which we have already reported to the Amt. And since I intend to depart on the 15th of September, because a ship for my journey leaves on the 15th of September, and because I still must sell my inventory and also settle the remaining obligations, I therefore request a prompt reply from the High Princely Rent Chamber as soon as possible. I remain, most humbly requesting accordingly. Most humble colonist Krückeberg, No. 10 in Berenbusch. Dated the 8th of August, 1849. NC 7. Forwarded for report to the Amt Bückeburg. A stamp penalty of 12 Mariengroschen is to be collected and transmitted. Bückeburg, 13 August 1849. Barkhausen.
