Durchlauchtigster Fürst und Herr!

Ich bitte unsern durchlauchtigsten Fürsten und Landesvater, wenn es möglich
sein könnte, im Walde an meinem angekauften sat Kampfe [Saatkamp] — da liegt
eine kleine schräge Ecke an der herrschaftlichen Söhre —, so bitte ich um die
kleine Ecke. Es soll wohl ein halber Morgen betragen; so bitte ich unsern
liebevollsten durchlauchtigsten Fürsten und Landesvater: Schenken Sie mir
die kleine Ecke, daß ich die Erde davon fahren kann in die Niederstellen
auf den Kampfe. Ich habe dieses letzte Jahr umgepflügt und wieder gesät
und noch Korn nichts geerntet. Nun wollte ich gern die unnassen Flecken damit
ausfüllen; und wenn ich die Erde vom Platz abgefahren habe, so wollte ich
ihn etwas verbessern, damit etwas Gras darauf wachsen könnte.

Ich verlasse mich, durchlauchtigster Fürst und Herr, auf Ihre Liebe.

Most Serene Prince and Lord,

I ask our Most Serene Prince and Father of the Land, if it might be possible,
with regard to my purchased field in the forest—there lies a small slanted
corner next to the princely woodland called the Söhre—that I might receive
this small corner. It probably amounts to about half a Morgen. Therefore I
ask our most gracious and beloved Most Serene Prince and Father of the Land:
grant me the small corner so that I may take soil from there and fill in the
low places in my field. Last year I ploughed it and sowed it again, yet still
harvested no grain. Now I would gladly fill the wet spots with that soil; and
when I have taken the earth away from that place, I would also improve it so
that some grass might grow there.
