Organization of Frille Kirchenbücher

The volume "Verzeichnis der Getauften, Getrauten, Gestorbenen 1758-1804" is without a table of contents; however, there are indexes of births and deaths but no index of marriages. The volume’s organization is a follows:

Abbreviations in Birth and Baptism Record

Remarks on the One-Letter Abbreviations used in Birth and Baptism Entries

After the baby’s name, which is followed by its place of birth, three names occur, each preceded, respecitvely, by the following single-letter abbreviations:

P — indicates the father. Perhaps it derives from the Latin Pater = father
M — for Mutter = mother
S — apparently the godparent(s).

This is an example of the use of the P, M and S abbreviations taken from entry 33, page 16, on image 11 of the Frille Kirchenbuch: "Verzeichnis der Getauften, Getrauten, Gestorbenen 1758-1804".
